Some locations offered the bowl at a hefty 27 ounces while another only came in at 14 ounces \u2014 all from the same menu and prepared in the same way.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Consistency varied widely, w\/ some locations serving bowls that weigh ~33% more than other locations (on equivalent orders); and the heaviest digital\/in-store bowls weighing 87%\/47% more vs the lightest,&#8221; Fadem <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barrons.com\/articles\/this-analyst-tried-to-settle-the-chipotle-weight-debate-what-he-found-8ce995bb\">reported<\/a>. &#8220;While throughput is improving, order consistency remains an opportunity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In May, Chipotle CEO Brian Niccol denied that portion sizes had gotten smaller during an interview <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@fortune\/video\/7374898437222862126?lang=en\">with <i>Fortune<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The portions have not gotten smaller,&#8221; Niccol said assuredly. &#8220;We always want to give people big portions that get them excited about the food.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><b>Related: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.entrepreneur.com\/business-news\/chipotle-rolls-out-new-perks-to-attract-gen-z-workers\/468773\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Chipotle Rolls Out New Perks to Attract Gen Z Workers<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Chipotle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/chipotle-announces-first-quarter-2024-results-302126546.html\">had a strong<\/a> Q1 2024, with total revenue reaching $2.7 billion, a 14% increase from the same time last year.
