The return-to-office (RTO) mandate immediately received pushback, with hundreds of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.entrepreneur.com\/business-news\/jpmorgans-return-to-office-mandate-spurs-internal-pushback\/485483\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">JPMorgan staff<\/a> commenting on an internal channel. He also doesn&#8217;t like being unable to talk to employees on Fridays, a popular work-from-home day.<\/p>\n<p><b>Related: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.entrepreneur.com\/business-news\/jpmorgan-employees-disappointed-by-2024-bonus-checks-report\/486073\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">&#8216;Feels Like a Slap in the Face&#8217;: Some JPMorgan Employees Reportedly Aren&#8217;t Happy With Their Bonuses<\/a><\/p>\n<p>JPMorgan saw a record <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpmorganchase.com\/content\/dam\/jpmc\/jpmorgan-chase-and-co\/investor-relations\/documents\/quarterly-earnings\/2024\/4th-quarter\/36b3c0a4-3ecd-422e-8167-0a31372f3438.pdf\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">$58.5 billion<\/a> in profits during 2024, leading some workers to ask why the bank needed them back in the office full-time in 2025 if it proved able to drive record results even while some employees worked on a hybrid schedule, per Reuters.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-01-07\/jpmorgan-planning-to-bring-staff-back-to-office-five-days-a-week\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">Bloomberg<\/a>, 60% of JPMorgan staff already work from the office five days per week, including managing directors and salespeople. Back-office workers are most likely to currently work on a hybrid schedule and be affected by the change.<\/p>\n<p>JPMorgan follows companies like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.entrepreneur.com\/business-news\/amazon-ceo-this-is-why-employees-must-work-in-office-rto\/482473\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">Amazon<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.entrepreneur.com\/business-news\/sams-club-cto-quits-over-walmarts-return-to-office-mandate\/481704\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">Walmart<\/a> in implementing a strict RTO policy. The bank is the largest in the U.S., with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpmorgan.com\/about-us\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">$3.9 trillion in assets<\/a>.
