Consultants Are Charging Up to $10,000 to Find the Perfect Name<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The study looked at the names of people in top-level executive positions in the U.S., from CEOs to managers, on LinkedIn and found that John is the &#8220;most successful name in the business world.&#8221; Michael took No. 2, followed by David at No. 3.<\/p>\n<p>Robert and Mark rounded out the top five in number of appearances. People named John had the most CEO positions, while Michael dominated CFO roles. David, meanwhile, was a popular name for managers.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"lazyload\" loading=\"lazy\" role=\"presentation\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.entrepreneur.com\/images\/misc\/1740776809_resumeio.png\" style=\"height:1028px; width:617px\" width=\"617\" height=\"1028\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Only one female name made the top 10 list (Jennifer), which took the No. 6 spot. Only one-third of the profiles Resume.io analyzed were women.<\/p>\n<p>Amanda Augustine, a certified career coach and expert at <a href=\"https:\/\/usw2.nyl.as\/t1\/292\/7w2860ap1wao4qt8vqkhb32go\/3\/418b0f2fb5b3ac42f05c1d32a1b8586b5bf5369eef9842ef75a44b84070c7373\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">Resume.io<\/a>, said the report &#8220;highlights a long-standing trend in corporate leadership.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Certain names appear more frequently in positions of power, reflecting deeper societal and workplace biases,&#8221; Augustine said. &#8220;While skills and experience should define success, unconscious bias can influence both hiring and promotion decisions, favoring those with classic American, masculine names.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A recent report from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/stories\/2024\/06\/how-an-ai-driven-future-can-include-more-women-in-leadership\/\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">World Economic Forum<\/a> found that 36.4% of women were hired into leadership positions in 2024, down from the 36.9% hired in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Under female names, &#8220;Kimberly&#8221; was found to be in the middle of the pack, but &#8220;Kim&#8221; was found to be the most common name for an executive with a &#8220;director&#8221; title.<\/p>\n<p>Jennifer, Lisa, and Mary topped the list.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"lazyload\" loading=\"lazy\" role=\"presentation\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.entrepreneur.com\/images\/misc\/1740777859_successfulwomensnames.png\" style=\"height:1028px; width:617px\" width=\"617\" height=\"1028\"\/><\/p>\n<p><i><a href=\"https:\/\/resume.io\/blog\/names-in-power-america\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">Click here <\/a>for the full Resume.io report. <\/i><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.entrepreneur.com\/business-news\/what-first-names-are-the-most-successful-in-business\/487785\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Have you ever wondered if your name is helping you in life \u2014 or holding you back?
