{"id":16099,"date":"2025-05-11T10:14:26","date_gmt":"2025-05-11T10:14:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/imsfund.com\/?p=16099"},"modified":"2025-05-11T10:14:26","modified_gmt":"2025-05-11T10:14:26","slug":"fedex-board-member-david-steiner-to-be-postmaster-general","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/imsfund.com\/index.php\/2025\/05\/11\/fedex-board-member-david-steiner-to-be-postmaster-general\/","title":{"rendered":"FedEx Board Member David Steiner to Be Postmaster General"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Former Waste Management CEO and current FedEx board member David Steiner has been selected to be the country&#8217;s 76th Postmaster General and CEO by the U.S. Postal Service Board of Governors.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is an incredible honor to be asked to lead the world&#8217;s greatest postal organization, with a history that stretches back before the founding of the United States,&#8221; Steiner said <a href=\"https:\/\/about.usps.com\/newsroom\/national-releases\/2025\/0509-usps-bog-appoints-david-steiner-to-be-76th-pmg-and-ceo-of-usps.htm\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">in a statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Steiner was president and CEO of Waste Management for 12 years, from 2004 through late 2016. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/05\/09\/david-steiner-fedex-postal-service-usps-waste.html\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">CNBC reports<\/a> that Steiner will leave the board of FedEx (he&#8217;s been there since 2009).
