Corcoran listed the property with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.entrepreneur.com\/business-news\/barbara-corcoran-ask-this-question-before-selling-your-home\/480752\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">The Corcoran Group<\/a>, the real estate firm she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.corcoran.com\/about-us\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">founded in 1973<\/a> and sold in 2001 for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2018\/03\/08\/barbara-corcoran-made-66-million-in-one-year.html\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">$66 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Corcoran <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/01\/28\/realestate\/barbara-corcoran-la-fires-mobile-home.html?smid=nytcore-android-share\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">first spotted<\/a> the penthouse in 1992, when she was delivering letters for a messenger service as a side hustle. Finally, in 2015, the owner was ready to sell. Corcoran bought the property for $10 million and spent an additional $2 million in renovations, designing the home exactly as she imagined it. The duo has already found a single-story apartment in the same Carnegie Hill neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>Corcoran <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/sharktank\/comments\/17eljl3\/barbara_on_salary_transparent\/\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\">previously disclosed<\/a> that she makes $300,000 as a &#8220;Shark Tank&#8221; investor, but usually invests over $1 million per year in startups that come on the show.
