However, the layoffs will result in up to $40 million in annual cost savings, the company claims. Wake-Ups and Dialing Into Meetings After Dropping Her Son Off at School<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bumble shares were up <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/BMBL\/\">over 20% <\/a>following the news of workforce reductions.<\/p>\n<p>Also in the filing, Bumble increased its revenue forecast for the current quarter. The dating app company updated its second-quarter revenue forecast to a range of $244 million to $249 million, up from the previous prediction of $235 million to $243 million.<\/p>\n<p>The layoffs arrive months after Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/01\/17\/bumble-founder-whitney-wolfe-herd-to-return-as-ceo.html\">returned<\/a> to the company as CEO. Wolfe Herd <a href=\"https:\/\/ir.bumble.com\/governance\/board-of-directors\/person-details\/default.aspx?ItemId=b318523a-18dd-4fde-8495-f1211b9f0659#:~:text=Wolfe%20Herd%20served%20as%20the,Bumble%20app%20in%202014%2C%20Ms.\">founded<\/a> the app in 2014 and served as CEO from January 2020 to January 2024. Its market value has plummeted from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/06\/25\/bumble-layoffs.html\">$7.7 billion<\/a> in early 2021 to about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/finance\/quote\/BMBL:NASDAQ?sa=X&amp;ved=2ahUKEwit1uLFgo2OAxVSFlkFHfQfJzUQ3ecFegQINxAU\">$661 million<\/a> at the time of writing.
