More than 90% of surveyed consumers have. Getting them to actually order a sub? That\u2019s the hard part.<\/p>\n<p>The chain\u2019s customer base has long skewed older, male, and higher-income, CEO<a href=\"https:\/\/www.entrepreneur.com\/buying-a-franchise\/franchise-500\/jersey-mikes-sold-for-8-billion-their-new-ceo-is-ready-to-double-their-3200-u-s-locations\" id=\"https:\/\/www.entrepreneur.com\/buying-a-franchise\/franchise-500\/jersey-mikes-sold-for-8-billion-their-new-ceo-is-ready-to-double-their-3200-u-s-locations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Charlie Morrison <\/a>said on a recent earnings call, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qsrmagazine.com\/story\/jersey-mikes-wants-more-than-name-recognition\/\" id=\"https:\/\/www.qsrmagazine.com\/story\/jersey-mikes-wants-more-than-name-recognition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">QSR<\/a>. To reach younger diners, women, and Hispanic guests, Jersey Mike\u2019s is finally going <a href=\"https:\/\/www.entrepreneur.com\/growing-a-business\/digital-out-of-home-vs-traditional-advertising-which\/464964\" id=\"https:\/\/www.entrepreneur.com\/growing-a-business\/digital-out-of-home-vs-traditional-advertising-which\/464964\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">digital<\/a>. \u201cBefore 2026, the company really had no investment in digital marketing efforts of any kind,\u201d Morrison said. That\u2019s out of an ad budget topping $200 million a year.<\/p>\n<p>This year, about 20% of that money went to paid social, search, and connected TV. And the effects are showing. Loyalty sign-ups are up 21%, and digital now accounts for 43% of sales. <\/p>\n<p>Limited-time offers help, too: roughly half the people who bought Mike\u2019s Hot Italian during its first run were new to the brand. Same-store sales rose 3% in the third quarter, up from 2.3% the quarter before, and systemwide sales climbed 11% to $1.2 billion.
