{"id":2666,"date":"2022-05-18T17:21:55","date_gmt":"2022-05-18T17:21:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/imsfund.com\/?p=2666"},"modified":"2022-05-18T17:21:55","modified_gmt":"2022-05-18T17:21:55","slug":"americans-are-stressed-about-money-and-finances-hurting-mental-health","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/imsfund.com\/index.php\/2022\/05\/18\/americans-are-stressed-about-money-and-finances-hurting-mental-health\/","title":{"rendered":"Americans are stressed about money and finances, hurting mental health"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"SpecialReportArticle-ArticleBody-6\" data-module=\"ArticleBody\" data-test=\"articleBody-2\" data-analytics=\"SpecialReportArticle-articleBody-6-2\"><span class=\"HighlightShare-hidden\" style=\"top:0;left:0\"\/><\/p>\n<div class=\"group\">\n<p>Americans are more stressed about money than they&#8217;ve ever been, according to the American Psychological Association&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apa.org\/news\/press\/releases\/stress\/2022\/march-2022-survival-mode\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">latest Stress In America Survey<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Eighty-seven percent of Americans said that inflation and the rising costs of everyday goods is what&#8217;s driving their stress,&#8221; said Vaile Wright, senior director of health care innovation at the American Psychological Association.<\/p>\n<p>More than 40% of U.S. adults say money is negatively impacting their mental health, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bankrate.com\/personal-finance\/financial-wellness-survey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bankrate&#8217;s April 2022 Money and Mental Health report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I was in debt off and on all of my 20s and early 30s,&#8221; Tawnya Schultz, founder of The Money Life Coach, told CNBC. &#8220;I was in this debt cycle of trying to get out of debt, paying off debt, getting back into it.
